Africa’s Talking

Overview

Africa’s Talking is the Africa-wide SMS alternative. Use a tenant-scoped username, API key and approved sender ID.

Setup & requirements

Account preflight passed. Sender approval, callback authentication and an approved test recipient are still needed for delivery acceptance. Marketing is not enabled.

Usage & verification

Configure username, apiKey and an approved senderId. Read-only account testing is available without sending. The single-recipient SMS action records provider message ID, cost and estimated segments, subject to the same recipient/content approval as BRIQ.

Authenticated delivery callback acceptance remains blocked until the provider authentication contract is verified. Unsigned callbacks are not accepted as delivery proof. Account balance acceptance, send acceptance, callback delivery and physical observation are separate checks.
