Backup and restore
Overview
Back up the database and encryption material under separate protected access controls. A database dump without the encryption key cannot restore provider credentials.
Setup & requirements
Restore only into an isolated environment with sends disabled. Verify memberships, integration decryption, audit records and replay state. Same-VPS restoration has local evidence; off-host production recovery still needs a drill.
Usage & verification
Validate the dump archive, restore into an isolated non-sending database and verify table counts, RLS and encrypted credential access with separately held key material. Record the backup timestamp, checksum and restore result without exposing keys or rows. Same-VPS restore evidence does not prove off-host disaster recovery.
